Great Fire of London

Model of seventeenth-century London

Have you seen the 120-metre model of London’s seventeenth-century skyline that’s on the Thames? This gorgeous piece of art is going to be burnt tomorrow night to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.

If you can’t be in London to watch it go up in smoke, then live stream it at 8.30pm BST, Sunday 4 September 2016.

The live stream has the added bonus (such as it is) of seeing my little piece on St Paul’s Cathedral as part of the coverage.

  1. I can’t believe they would burn such a tremendous peice of work, its incredible. I understand that he who pays the piper calls the tune, and it was commisioned for that very purpose, but to me its vandalism, and if I had worked on it ,I would be more than a bit miffed.
